Attorney Mark A. Buterbaugh is the day to day Managing Partner of Mooney Law and is a Maryland Work Injury Lawyer.  He focuses his practice on representing injured workers in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Attorney Buterbaugh is admitted to practice law in both Maryland and Pennsylvania.  He also represents individuals in Personal Bankruptcy before the US Middle District Bankruptcy Court in Pennsylvania and the US Bankruptcy Court District of Maryland.

Attorney Mark Buterbaugh is the day to day Managing Partner of Mooney Law. His professional, trusted, zealous, and proven experience has helped him recover tens of millions of dollars for injured workers in workers compensation. His proven experience in workers compensation helps him guide injured workers through the complexities of Workers Compensation.   He has a full workers compensation practice, from litigating denied claims, to defending injured workers against employer petitions, to seeking expansion of injury descriptions to get medical bills paid, to negotiating settlements before Pennsylvania workers compensation judges and before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission. Attorney Buterbaugh also practices appellate work before the Workers Compensation Appeal Board.

Prior to practice and ownership of Mooney Law, Attorney Buterbaugh represented employers and insurance carriers in Pennsylvania. His time and experience defending employers and insurance carriers in workers compensation laid the foundation for his practice representing injured workers in Maryland and Pennsylvania. His prior experience provides him unique perspectives on how insurance company lawyers view a case, approach a case, and value a case.

Prior to joining Mooney Law, Attorney Mark Buterbaugh served as Assistant Enforcement Counsel with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, enforcing Pennsylvania laws and regulations in the casino industry. He also served in multiple staff positions with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Attorney Buterbaugh is a member of the Franklin and Cumberland County bars in Pennsylvania and the Washington County Bar in Maryland.  He is admitted and license to practice law in Pennsylvania and Maryland.  He is active in his community, having been elected to the Shippensburg School Board in 2004 and 2013. He was reelected to the School Board in 2019 and currently serves as President of the School Board.
